Make Up Tutorial

Recently I had the pleasure of working on a lovely client who wanted her make up done for a special event.

The first step was to colour match her foundation, we chose number 4 – a medium shade by Airbase. Airbase is a silicone based high definition airbrush that is used to spray on foundation, blush, highlight contour and bronzer. As we were using the Airbase I needed to start with her eyes so there would be no fall out onto the foundation.

For the clients eyes I first primed them, then used a shade called ‘Melon’ by Mac all over the lids. I then used a darker brown and a black by Mac for the outer corners blending them and fanning the colour to create a soft but smokey finish. I used a lighter highlighter colour for the inner corners and under the brow to open the eyes out! Next I applied a sharp black line across the top of the lids using a liquid liner, complete with mascara and a smokey charcoal shade under the eye to finish the look!

Next I applied the primer to the rest of the face and concealed any areas that require it. The foundation then had a perfect base ready for application. I began spraying on the foundation in small circles using the guard to cover the eyes when required to protect them. Next I applied the bronzer all over, then blush – which was a mix of peach and pink shades.

The finishing touches involved were filling out the brows and applying the beautiful rosy red lips. I used a mix of pink and red shades from the Mac lip palate.

This has been one of my favourite makeups to do and this look is very interchangeable for any occasion…you could go more natural with the lip colour for the perfect day look or darken down the eyes for a dramatic evening look!
